# UE IDLE\_MODE to save radio resources

Dear all,

We would like to save radio resources by putting UE on standby after 20 seconds without any traffic  
This will save radio resources

I see that there the UE Inactivity Parameter, but it is set too high

Can someone clarify this?

Hello,

Did you try this? Idle the CPE after a few seconds?  
I am wondering if this is a issue for the clients “felt” speed when reconnecting after it was in idle mode. (timouts or taking to long to reconnect?)

Any experience to share?
