BaiTip of the Day - October 26th, 2016: I encourage each operator to use a down tilt calculator to accurately aim your antenna down tilt in order to get the maximum gain for your intended coverage area. I’ve witnessed multiple cases where the sectors were mounted with no down tilt and the operator was having poor performance. Once down tilt was corrected, performance increased dramatically. Every dB is valuable, don’t waste dBs by spraying 50% of the main lobe off into outer space and the horizon. This also causes excessive interference with other operators or even additional towers of your own. Here is a link to a down tilt calculator. http://www.commscope.com/calculators/qdowntilt.aspx. There may be better ones out there, feel free to provide them in replies.
Does the 5G antenna on the base station improve transmission and reception or only transmission?
