Is FCC licensing users in this spectrum now? Whar effect will 5G have?
If you are referring to the legacy 3.65-3.7 GHZ band the FCC is not issuing new licenses. You can buy a license from a current license holder that wishes to sell one. The new CBRS band in 3.550-3.700 Ghz will allow GAA use in the band once the SAS databases get final FCC approval and equipment vendors have their gear re-certified under CBRS rules. You also will need a Certified Professional Installer on staff that has passed the approved training. More details will be given at the WispAmerica show in March in Cincinnati.
