I’m getting ready to deploy my first Nova R9 and I’m interested to know what is recommended for weather sealing. I’ve sealed up the two main antenna connectors, but what about the GPS connector? With the electrical tape / mastic / electrical tape sealing method there isn’t much space left to seal up since the GPS connector is located so close to the ANT1 connector. Suggestions?
It’s tight, but we still use 3M butyl (rubber sealing tape) and then electrical to protect it. Do most of it on the bench and the last bit on the tower. I used a knife to push the tape between the connectors as I was taping. Next time (or when I go back up) I’ll take pictures.
